Victoria, BC, Canada - April 23, 2003: GeoMetrix Data Systems Inc. announces that Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems, Akron, Ohio, has implemented Training Partner to manage training it supplies to military aircraft personnel."As part of our total training systems approach, we coordinate and track training of students at different sites for customers," said Donald Bowles, a senior database analyst for Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems (NE&SS). "The type of training track includes online computer-based, lecture/discussion, practical exercises, and simulator time."
The training management system had to handle student and instructor registration, training records and certifications, with automated scheduling for students and resources. The training requirements encompass training records, skills, testing, analysis, security access, registration, reports, and all aspects of training management. In addition, the system requires flexibility to handle unusual names, student identification numbers, and military training methods.
"We evaluated several different training management systems and narrowed the selection to Training Partner 2000," continued Bowles. "Training Partner 2000, combined with Training Partner 2000 Online, provides tailoring features to the system administrator and was graphics oriented."
"The project required three separate types of lic ensing for the development, testing and implementation phases," said Karla Willems, senior account manager at GeoMetrix Data Systems Inc. "We worked very hard to provide NE&SS with a quote for each phase to help them meet their budget."
