Victoria, BC; April 2007: GeoMetrix Data Systems Inc. was considered a Customer Satisfaction Leader in the 2007 LMS Customer Satisfaction Study published by Bersin & Associates in March 2007.
In the vendor comparisons by market segment, GeoMetrix captured the leadership or co-leadership position in the corporate/mid-market for ease of use for administrators; ease of customization; and the ability to understand and assist with customers' training challenges. GeoMetrix was ranked as an outperformer in most other categories, including overall satisfaction.
In the vendor comparisons by type of system, GeoMetrix was a Customers Satisfaction Leader in nearly every category for primarily installed systems. "GeoMetrix was named the leader in ease of use, ease of ownership, reporting, service & support, testing/assessment tools, and two of the three business partnership categories." In addition to the categories above and to being the co-leader for overall satisfaction, GeoMetrix ranked first in configurability and customization; technology investment protection; product/technical support and more.
In vendor satisfaction results based on annual operating costs, GeoMetrix was listed as the leader is ease of customization and as an outperformer in several other categories in the less than $100,000 group.
The report states, "GeoMetrix's customers have the lowest annual operating costs of any vendor due to a combination of reasonable licensing, customization and implementation fees." Other comments from the analysts at Bersin & Associates include, "[GeoMetrix] focuses on providing a customizable, feature-rich solution to budget-conscious mid-market buyers… GeoMetrix has been serving this market for more than a decade. The company is in touch with the needs of its customers and serves them well."

The 2007 LMS Customer Satisfaction Study: An Industry Analysis of the Customer Experience with Learning Management Systems is a broad-based industry study based on survey results from 516 system administrators, training managers, and executives. This study evaluates a wide range of categories – product performance, customer service, technical support, and additional tools and capabilities – all from the customers’ perspective.
The 2007 study covers offerings from 13 LMS vendors and analyzes over 20 different measures of customer satisfaction. The study was completed funded by Bersin & Associates. Information in the study is based solely on Bersin & Associates’ analysis of results; the only information in the study provided by vendors are estimates of LMS revenues. All survey participants had a learning management system that was operational at the time of the survey; the average length of LMS “ownership” was 2.1 years. Respondents represent organizations of all sizes, vertical segments, and number of learners. Seventy-eight (78%) percent of respondents are from corporate organizations; 11% are from government organizations, 2% are from higher ed. Institutions and 9% are from non-profit organizations. The 2007 study was conducted in November-December of 2006.
